May 2023 MVP - Harshit Gupta

Harshit Gupta, an F&B intern at Embassy Suites in Louisville, Kentucky, has been selected as May’s Most Valuable Participant because he was honored as Employee of the Month. Harshit’s supervisor has highlighted his contributions to Embassy Suites as the knowledge he has brought from his time at university, his eagerness to learn and ask questions, his pleasant attitude, and his ability to work well with coworkers and management. To celebrate his accomplishment, we gifted Harshit two tickets to a Louisville Bats MBL game!


What are the most valuable things you have learned while on the internship program? The things that I learned on this internship is how to put my knowledge and skills into practice and understanding different work place cultures.

What are your career goals and how do you think an American internship will benefit you in your future career? My career goals is to become a successful hotelier and America is the biggest opportunity for me to get closer to my goal.

What are your top three recommendations for places to visit/things to do in Louisville? Top three recommendations to visit in Louisville are Churchill Downs, Bourbon Trail and Louisville Slugger Musuem & Factory.

How have you grown personally from this program experience? Talking about personal growth, I have developed leadership skills, gained self confidence and most importantly, started respecting all kinds of work and jobs.

Why do you think cultural exchange programs are important?Cultural exchange programs are important because when you experience a different culture through educational and cultural exchange you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and those around you.
