Cultural Happenings: Beach Day & International Food Festival

Sunshine sparkled on Daytona Beach as LifeTRAVELED’s exchange visitors enjoyed a day of exploration, community, and international flavors.

This ideal summer day began at Daytona’s legendary white sand beach where the ocean shimmers and the boardwalk pulses with energy. Central Florida shines as one of America’s most multicultural regions, shaped by vibrant waves of migration and a thriving international spirit. That global tapestry came alive at the City of Orange’s International Food Festival, where exchange visitors savored mouthwatering dishes from Brazil, Colombia, France, Ghana, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Laos, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Thailand, and US regions from New England to Louisiana. The air buzzed with music, laughter, and the delicious scent of spicy, sweet, and exotic delights.

From chasing waves to sampling new world cuisines, the day embodied all that’s wonderful about travel. As the sun set, new friends and unforgettable memories marked LifeTRAVELED’s perfect Florida day.

The most positive and happiest moment for me this month is that I was able to meet a lot of my co-J-1s through the cultural exchange program activity of LifeTraveled which is the Beach and International Food Festival wherein we went to Daytona Beach to hang out and take a lot of photos. We also went to Port Orange to drop by the food festival wherein they offered a lot of different cuisines from all over the globe. That day was one of the most memorable & unforgettable days that I spent here in the United States.
