Cultural Happenings: Exchange Day 2025

The international exchange community recognizes the first Monday in August as Exchange Day to celebrate and spread awareness of the benefits of exchange programs to individuals and communities. Events are organized by host employers, visa sponsors, and Community Support groups utilizing the structure of Eat. Play. Give. For 2025’s Exchange Day event, LifeTRAVELED exchange visitors putt through vibrant black-lit scenes, shared pizza slices, and donated valuable supplies to a local elementary school.

Eat - Does pineapple belong on pizza? Exchange visitors taste-tested this controversial topping at a local pizzeria. Despite the name Hawaiian Pizza, the pineapple and ham combination was invented in Canada.

Play - Exchange visitors teed off into a wonderland of mesmerizing glow-in-the-dark art across an 18-hole mini-golf course.

Give - To honor that LifeTRAVELED’s programs are rooted in educational objectives, our exchange visitors donated classroom supplies to Brittnay Minotta’s 5th Grade Class at Freedom Elementary School.
