Cultural Happenings: Florida Beaches
From Pensacola to Key West to Jacksonville, Florida is surrounded by beautiful beaches that are a main attraction for both locals and tourist. Month after month, WWCE’s Florida beach trips are the top-attended cultural event. Our participants have the opportunity to lounge in the sun, swim in the sea, and play on the beach. The beach trips provide an escape from the bustling environment of Orlando for the participants to see a more relaxed side of Florida. So far, we have traveled to Daytona Beach, Cocoa Beach, and New Smyrna Beach, but there’s still so many to explore!
“I loved go to the beach with the others exchange students!! We had a great time together.”
- Janina Moreira, SWT
“I joined the Daytona and Cocoa Beach Cultural Event. As much as possible, I will join every Cultural Event organized by your agency. I got to see familiar faces that I haven’t seen and got the chance to mingle with them too. I enjoyed every event and its one way for me to take away the stress and just be relaxed for a day. I never swam but I just like hearing the sound of the ocean.”
- Airica Fe Allig, APT
“The most recent cultural event that I've attended with my friends was in Daytona Beach. There was this third wave coffee shop called The Red Bud Cafe that I visited around the area and It was really a great experience, a grandma and his son owns the place and she was the one making the food -- it felt like home.”
- Lailanie Enriquez, APT
“The recent cultural event that I attended is the Daytona beach wherein we enjoyed the waves of the beach, played volleyball and soccer under the heat of the sun. We really enjoyed it. “
