Cultural Happenings: Friendship Powwow

The Denver Art Museum hosts an annual Friendship Powwow to celebrate Native American culture, which presented the perfect opportunity for our participants to experience various aspects of the culture. The event featured music performances, a dance competition featuring all ages, and vendors selling dream catchers, bead work, fry bread, and more. The event coincided with the art museum’s free day, so the participants were also able to browse the collections, ranging from Latinx low riders to impressionist paintings.
