Dear Future Participants,

Our 2022 Camp Counselors provide advice to future Exchange Visitors.

“Get involved in as much as possible but also take advantage of rest time.” – Elen, England

“Give everything a chance-even activities you don’t think you’d like.” – Alicia, England

“Be open minded and put your health before anything else because if you can't take care of yourself, you won't be able to take care of the kids.” – Shreeja, India

“Come to camp with an open mind and be ready to adjust when needed.” – Robert, United Kingdom

“Get involved in everything put on, whether this be something you enjoy or not - just have fun with it.” – Emily, United Kingdom

“Enjoy every minute because time goes so fast.” – Niamh, Ireland

“Engage with every activity the best you can and you will gain the most out of your time.” – Kyle, United Kingdom

“While overall process of applying and becoming a camp counselor may seem challenging, I'd suggest that you see every challenge as an opportunity for growth and learning. Self-belief goes a long way, and once you get there, you'll realize just how far you've come and how much you're capable of. Oh, and remember "Have fun, there's a camp out there!".” – James, United Kingdom

“If you love kids and being very active you’ll love it but it is intense and there’s very little free time.” – Yasmin, Ireland

“To be open minded and understand it takes a while to integrate yourself into so many different cultures.” – Bethan, England

“Be curious and don’t focus on money. Be your true self, share your culture and ask for what you want, they don’t understand your needs unless you ask.” – Abou, Senegal
