Cultural Happenings: Kennedy Space Center
Home to historic spacecraft launches, the Kennedy Space Center enthralls and educates visitors from around the world, spotlighting the achievements of American space engineers and explorers. At the request of our exchange visitors, LifeTRAVELED arranged a day trip to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for the exchange visitors to discover the fascinating history and captivating future of NASA.
At the complex, the exchange visitors embarked on an interactive journey through the history of space exploration in the United States. The complex honored space heroes, educating the exchange visitors about the astronauts who dared to travel into the unknown in the pursuit of human and science advancement. The exchange visitors viewed Apollo 11 artifacts, brining the space race and the unprecedented mission that led humans to walk on the moon to life. America’s fascination with space and determination to explore our galaxy continues, and the complex provides insights to NASA’s current projects, including a focus on Mars and replicas of rover vehicles.
Through this cultural trip, exchange visitors gained insight into the United State’s past, present, and future of pioneering space exploration, a memorable and impactful experience as expressed by two exchange visitors:
I went to the Kennedy Space Center and I really love that experience because in Argentina we don’t have space center, so was incredible and I will never forget it. - Eugenia Ramos
I love going to the NASA. Being there it was something very important because I'm studying computer engineering and it was great to see how things work there. - Constanza Mana
Cultural experiences that focus on STEM, like the Kennedy Space Center, showcase American innovations and inspire exchange visitors to dream about the possibilities for their future.
