Cultural Happenings: Custard and Colorful Flora
Milwaukee – home of the frozen custard and our exchange visitor from India, Arshpreet, who is interning at Hyatt in the front desk division. LifeTRAVELED visited Milwaukee to connect with Arshpreet and learn about her exchange program experience, hearing about her favorite aspects of American culture, the challenges she’s faced, and the industry experience she’s gaining.
Milwaukee is the “Frozen Custard Capital of the World”, boasting the global record of highest number of custard shops per capita. Custard galore! We chose to introduce Arshpreet to Kopp’s, a local favorite dating back to the 1950s. We dined on sweet and savory, combining a juicy burger and salty fries with our frozen custard. To walk off our indulgences, we strolled through Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, a collection of plants showcasing the biodiversity of the world. This day in Milwaukee wove cultural discovery, iconic frozen custard, and the lush beauty of Mitchell Park into a memorable moment of her exchange program for Arshpreet.
